Been a While…

I’ve been thinking about my Grandpa a lot lately…Maybe because I can’t stop thinking about how much I want it to be Christmas break (3 more weeeeeks!) and pretty much the whooole McCrae family is coming home this year. There will be lots of skiing, eating, drinking and laughing (and most likely a few guys wearing kilts)…I guess I just wish he was here to see everyone. Not to say that he can’t, really. Just makes me a little sad.
On a lighter note, Revelstoke Mountain Resort opening day is tomorrroooow! Or I guess in about 8 hours if I consider the time I’m writing this entry at. I’d soo like to be there but I’ve missed enough school this quarter already, so I’m leaving Friday night. And since I don’t have class on Mondays anymore hopefully I can get 3 days in this weekend…we’ll see how my knees hold up! Holy, do I ever need new skis though. For the last 2 seasons I’ve gone through all these buyer’s guides, doing a bunch of research, but this whole broke student thing is making things very difficult! This year, allllll I want is a pair of Armada ARV-Ws. My mother says I have expensive taste but I’ve been on these old Salomon X-Screams for years…YEARS! I told her that when the family gets together for dinner at Christmas that I’m going to walk around with a jar and ask for donations towards my cause…or at least I’m seriously considering it! Of course she just laughs at me.
Dad got X-Wings last year, come on now.
Last time I was home I made the mistake of going into Skookum and there they were…Ugh! I should have just put a deposit down on them. If dad was with me I’m sure we could have made some kind of deal. Maybe we’ll have to do some “shopping” this weekend ;)
